| AVALANCHE TRAINING
I have been looking into Avalanche Training for the end of January. The course will be a certified course, Avalanche Safety Training Level 1 (AST1). The AST Level 1 is considered the minimum level of training that back country riders should have. The AST 1 is an excellent introduction to avalanche terrain recognition skills, snowpack theory, rescue skills and overall risk management. I have been in communication with Lori from Zacs Tracs a Snowmobile oriented training company. We have tentative dates of Jan 26, 27 in a classsroom in PG for 4 hours in the evening from 6pm-10pm and a field day in McBride on Jan 25 for approximately 8 hours. The cost is approximately $300+taxes for groups of 6 or more, I requested a quote to hire them to put on the course and will have the numbers shortly. In the meantime I need to know how many people are interested in taking this course. So please email me at damian@pgproperty.ca . Also if someone you ride with could use this training can you forward this newsletter to them.

| PGSC Membership
We have our 2009/2010 memberships available at your local snowmobile dealerships and at our monthly meetings held the first Tuesday of every month at the clubhouse on 12000 Scott Rd. Single memberships are $85.00 family $125.00 and liability $70.00. Or go to http://pgsnowmobileclub.com/jointheclub.htm to access the membership form online and for all membership inquries contact Yvonne at ybourque@nccabc.com . With all the grooming, new improvements to our trail systems, bridges and clubhouse made this year its a bargain. Not to mention the bigger our membership the louder our voice in protecting the riding areas we have right now and the more grooming on our mountain access trails and other trail systems. If you know someone who needs to renew or get a membership, forward this newsletter to them. Also we know many people who ride on the PGSC maintained trails and the areas that we work very hard to protect and never get memberships, we need to be ambassadors and let them know how getting a membership improves the sport for everyone.
